Advent Day 24 - Hope Espresso
Good morning and welcome to the final day of the WBB advent!! I cannot believe its been 24 days of delicious coffees from 17 different roasters.
I knew that I wanted a special coffee for the final day, and when my girl Esther sent through my order from Hope Espresso, she so kindly sent a bag of coffee that was used in the WORLD BARISTA CHAMPIONSHIPS. What's more special than that for Christmas Eve?
Hope Espresso featured on day 2 of the calendar, which you can read all about (and learn about all the crazy amazing things that Esther does) by clicking here
So the World Barista Championship coffee, shall we see what it is?
Origin: Uganda
Kisoro Station
Process: Natural
Varietal: SL14, SL28
Altitude: 2000MASL
Let's Brew
For all coffees when tasting I used a 18g/225g recipe, which I feel really brought out the best in so many of the coffees I picked for the calendar (if you have a physical WBB advent, you have 22.2g (of course I had to include angel numbers) to play around with)
This coffee was absolutely delicious (evidently, it was used in the Barista Championships) a super smooth, fruity brew.
Super vibrant and juicy, its probably up there with one of the best Ugandans I've had this year (and I've had MANY!)
What a delicious coffee to end the calendar on.
I'd say see you tomorrow for day 25, but alas I will not.
There will be a round up post (at some point between Christmas and New Year) with links to all of the incredible roasters featured in the advent.
And if you've been reading along on the blog, or just following along on Instagram, thank you. I am so grateful to have been able to do this little project that just started with making an advent calendar for my closest friends.
I hope everyone has an amazing Christmas.
