Advent Day 22 - Brew Crew

Good morning and welcome to day 22 of the WBB advent!

For the last few days it's all coffee companies that have been in the calendar, some absolutely delightful companies (if I say so myself)

Today we have Brew Crew - you can read all about them on my previous blog post here

We couldn't end this calendar without having another Kenyan, you know I'm a sucker for Kenyans.

So lets get into the coffee,

Region: Nyeri County

Varietal: SL24, SL34

Altitude: 1600-1900MASL

Tastes: Pink Grapefruit, Black Tea, Creamy Finish

This bright, fruity Kenyan coffee comes from Nyeri county, which is nestled between Mt Kenya and the Aberdare ranges, located just to the east of the Great Rift Valley. This high altitude growing region brings the lively acidity that Kenyan coffee is prized for.

Let's Brew!

For all coffees when tasting I used a 18g/225g recipe, which I feel really brought out the best in so many of the coffees I picked for the calendar (if you have a physical WBB advent, you have 22.2g (of course I had to include angel numbers) to play around with)

Like most Kenyans, this had a delicious fruity acidity, with a definite creamy mouthfeel.

As the cup cools, it brings out those sweet juicy notes, definite stone fruit vibes I was getting, with that acidity dropping as it cooled further.

See you tomorrow for day 23!
